I feel compelled to share a great "find" we made last year. School had only been in session for two weeks before my kids came home lamenting that their AP Physics teacher left them totally confused and stressed out. Switching to a less demanding schedule wasn't an option so I decided to look for some help. Lord knows, it wasn't going to come from me or my husband! I found Daniel, a 2012 UCLA engineering grad who has been tutoring for many years. After the boys' first meeting with him, the level of stress in our household plummeted and the boys did well on their first physics test. We've decided to have him come regularly, just to make sure the boys understand the material and keep them confident. The boys ended up with A's in the class and doing well on the AP test. Daniel was able to help them with anything they didn't get in their calculus class as well. So as you stare the next school year in the face, if your child has any difficulty with their studies, especially in math or physics, consider talking to Daniel. He's a lovely young man and the boys really responded to him well.

She masterfully intertwines ELA and Math, Science, SEL, and Social Studies with perfection. My daughter has not only grown tremendously academically, but her excitement for learning is amazing! There's never a dull moment with Jamie. I highly recommend Jamie! I plan on staying with her until my daughter enters secondary education. Her flexibility is extremely kind and commendable. We recently had a not-so-fun experience at the dentist, and Jamie, because of her huge heart, graciously turned an ELA intervention into an SEL and ELA intervention with just a day's notice. This woman's grace and excellence are one of a kind.

Anna has been teaching my mother English for the past four months, and has been wonderful! She’s takes a lot of care teaching her grammar, pronunciation and practices conversational English regularly. Ms. Bowen is a fantastic language teacher! I have enjoyed learning with her and being her student and wouldn't want to take a language class with anyone else. Her classes are rigorous and challenging, but she will help you if you need it and do her absolute best to help you understand the material. As long as you apply yourself and do your best, you will succeed and do well in her class. Again, it may not always be easy to understand certain concepts so don't be afraid to ask questions. SHE WILL HELP YOU! I strongly reccomend taking either French or German with her because she is probably one of the best, if not, the best French/German teacher in Southern Maryland. I hope this helps in guiding those who want to invest in learning a new language.
