About
I am a teacher certified in the areas of Elementary Education, ESE, and English (grades 6-12). I am currently teaching second grade, but I have experience teaching other elementary grades, as well as working with college-level students helping them with paper writing.
I enjoy helping students better understand the English language. I love seeing my students become better able to express themselves, both orally and in writing.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by asking what the student wants to accomplish through tutoring. If possible, I communicate with the student’s classroom teacher to determine specific areas on which to focus with the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in English from the University of West Florida. I am certified by the state of Florida to teach Elementary Education (grades K-5), ESE (grades 1-12), and English (grades 6-12). I have experience as an elementary school teacher, and I am currently working for the school district as a second grade teacher. I have experience working for the Writing Lab at Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida Writing Lab.

Standard rate is $30.00 for a 50-minute session.
How did you get started teaching?
I began by working as an ESE teacher assistant for grades 3-5.
