I found James after interviewing multiple tutors for my sons—one a high school senior, the other a college freshman—and he immediately stood out. Not only is James knowledgeable across multiple subjects, but he also genuinely cares about his students. Hiring James turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. My younger son attended a boarding sports academy and needed ACT prep. James was incredibly flexible, finding time within my son's packed schedule and managing to fit in numerous sessions. Throughout this intense and challenging process, James remained consistently positive, patient, and encouraging. My older son, a college freshman, faces his own set of challenges, including fairly profound ADHD. James supported him not only with academic subjects but also with organizational skills. James checked in weekly to help plan out his schedule, stay on track, and remain accountable. He built a strong rapport with both of my sons and developed personalized, thoughtful plans tailored to each of their needs. In the end, both of my sons benefited greatly from James’ mentorship and made tremendous academic progress. Furthermore, both of them are eager to continue working with James next year—a true testament to his effectiveness as both a tutor and a mentor.
