Jamelia Daniels

I love education! I have taught and worked with the children at my church, I have volunteered at my mother's daycare very frequently, and I have dedicated about three of my summer's volunteering at a local church's summer camp, in addition to jumpstarting my own summer enrichment camp in 2017. In the near future, I am looking forward to starting my own business of arts focused daycare and childcare services. I have taken advanced placement classes in high school, and I have most recently obtained my Bachelors of Music with a concentration in Business from Alabama A&M University. I am currently making strides to obtain my Masters of Early Childhood Education.

I began tutoring officially in highschool as a peer tutor. After 10 years of doing this, my favorite moment is still the moment that "it clicks" and they realize that they get it. As a lover of learning, it is my desire to ignite that same flame in others to pass on. One of my favorite tutoring memories is with a 10th grade student, who wasn't the biggest fan of math. However, at the close of our second session she smiled and said, "That was fun." She understood, and she enjoyed her time doing so; that was good enough for me.
