As a college student with 5+ years of tutoring experience and 10+ years of teaching experience , I have an understanding of what students need to learn and the tips and tricks that help them excel. When tutoring, I try to get to know my student’s interests and learning style so I can connect and help them learn at their own pace and understanding. I have worked with students from third grade to high school in a variety of subjects. My goal when tutoring is not just to help the student learn but to help them become confident in their work and themselves.

I have taught English, reading and writing in high school and middle school since 1975. I have also had careers in theatre and PBS television. I love personally connecting with students and making learning easy and fun. Teaching is my passion!
