As an Educator I am aware that many students are statistically at least two grade levels behind in reading. Low literacy levels can wreak havoc on the ability to learn content, engage in higher-level thinking, and build interstitial background knowledge. As an educator, I believe in responsive instruction. Teaching is a pedagogy that recognizes and encompasses how knowledge is communicated and noticed by the students. As a teacher I build a good relationships with all students, have high expectations, learn about the student's culture and work with the student’s current curriculum in all grades including students with special needs.

I love working with kids and especially building a connection and leaving a lasting impression on them. In my philosophy of teaching building relationships is a huge deal, as it results in kids and teens being a lot more open to learning as well as remembering the topics and becoming proficient in those areas. Been tutoring for the last 5 years anywhere from middle school up to college level and SAT/ACT prep. I excel in tutoring for math and science and have had an exceptional track record of successful students, that go on to be a lot more confident in their studies. I'm always flexible in terms of time or location to make the experience

Reviews for Hollywood special education tutors

Recent success stories from people in the Hollywood area.
Bethany S.
iReading TUTOR was amazing with my daughter online. We love the convenience of tutoring online because it doesn’t waste gas money and my time carting her to the lessons. She made so much growth in her decoding and comprehension skills. I Reading tutor even informed us about a FL state reading scholarships for students that earned an FSA level one or two in the 3rd and 4th grade.

I have 3 children and as a single dad, I do not have the extra time to sit down with my children as much as I would love to do so. The tutors they always send me are professional and friendly. My kids are doing great in school and always turn things in on time. The owner is very nice and friendly too.
