I’m a mom, spouse and teacher. I have 3 girls that currently work online through FLVS. I have a Montessori credential and have experience teaching for the MDCPS system. I found my passion for helping students that struggle with Reading and Math while working as an Interventionist several years ago.

Hi, my name is Zuriel Wurah, and I'm very patient with students, which I know can be difficult, but I'm great at understanding WHY they're not understanding, and that makes it easier for me to help students learn and comprehend what they're learning. I specialize in Math, Reading and Writing, ESL, Science, and Computer Programming. However, as a current university student, I am always learning and can pick up things quickly, so I can teach any subject with ease. As there are many ways of teaching and many ways of learning, I can alter my methods to suit the needs of students, be it parents, children, or adults.

I graduated from Warner University with a BA in 'Social Science Education 6 - 12'. Beginning my teaching career in 2013 in Polk County, Florida. In the span of 11 years, I have taught grades 5th - 12th in both the public (regular, advanced, and gifted classes) and private sector. Currently, I am the lead teacher for all core subjects in middle school (ELA, Science, Math, and Social Studies). I am high-energy and dedicated to the progress and success of each student I encounter.
