Learning With Kiani
About
I am not here to judge you, make you feel like you can't learn, or get frustrated with you for not understanding.
I am here to listen, identify what techniques work for you to learn, and help you be succesful.
I get a great amount of satisfaction from helping people learn, seeing a person's face light up with understanding is one of my favorite things in the world.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. Set up a consultation - we have to break the ice a little bit, you won't be able to learn if you're not comfortable with me. We need some time for you to get to know me and create a judgement free relationship before you will be able to ask questions and gain understanding of material
2. Once we are comfortable with each other I will ask you some questions so I can identify and support your unique learning style
3. I will create a lesson plan and prepare supplemental materials to ensure understanding
4. I will create material to test your knowledge and recap
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

$20 per hour + $0.20/mile for gas when applicable
No hidden fees for materials, lesson plans, anything like that - I am charging you for the time I spend tutoring you, NOT for the time I spend between lessons gathering resources for us or understanding learning techniques to help you
How did you get started teaching?
I have always had a passion for teaching, I get it from my mom - I watched her homeschool 3 children successfully and spent .years with her teaching martial arts.
I am focusing my efforts on GED preperation because it can really change your life - No matter where you came from, what choices you have made in life, you can choose to take this step forward. I won't give up on you, don't give up on yourself.

I am a huge fan of hers and have watched all of her YouTube videos for years so its really cool to see her make it happen
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You are always going to be your own best advocate - if you want to learn something, go for it!
Hire that tutor!
If that tutor isn't a good fit, don't be afraid to speak up and move on, there is nothing you cannot learn!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
None! What!?
This is why the initial consultation is so important to me, my hope is that you are comfortable enough with me to communicate openly, we can talk through and of your concerns and create a solid plan TOGETHER!
