Julianna's Writing Tutoring

Hi, my name is Julianna! In addition to my B.A. in English Literature, I have direct experience working with student writers in a variety of roles, including as a first-year college writing instructor, a writing consultant at a university, and a freelance writing tutor. I have worked with writers of many different ages and experience levels, from students just learning how to hone their writing skills to undergraduate and graduate students. As a writing tutor, I have experience working with writers to craft academic essays, research papers, college admission essays, theses, and more.

Overall, I have a strong passion for working with writers to bring their diverse ideas to life. As a writing tutor, I choose to avoid taking on the stereotypical role of an editor. In contrast, I have found that student writers respond best to genuine conversations surrounding their writing process and product. My ultimate goal is to empower individuals to begin to view themselves as true writers.
