Hi my name is Patrick Hubeny. I am a Math Instructional Leader and Department Chairperson with over 20 years of experience in teaching math and supervising teachers. For over a decade, I have held a leadership position where I support teachers in delivering math instruction that fosters student success and confidence. My focus is on developing students' mathematical practices, perseverance, and sense-making. I truly embrace helping students build skills, not only to support the content they are currently learning but also to foster the development of transferable skills, work ethic, and the mindset to be successful independent learners. I am a first grade teacher of been teaching for about four years now, and I am pretty familiar with the Connecticut state standards when it comes to testing as well as standardized test. I am also the supervisor of the math count tutoring program for the New Haven public schools in one public school so I’m also great with children and do have current math tutor going out right now. I have a bachelors degree in early childhood education, as well as a Masters in Special Education.
