Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It is essential to build a rapport with a new student, building communication in order for them to feel comfortable asking questions and being open to learning. I also want to get a true baseline of where he or she is academically to design lessons and activities that will encourage growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Masters degree in education, both general and special education. Wilson training, TEACCH, basic ABA training, touch math. I have taken courses past my masters degree on academic language, ENL services, universal design for learning, and more.
