Amy McKeon

I am a current stay-at-home-mom with a Masters of Arts in Special Education and 20+ years experience working with the youth. I find myself wanting to contribute to education while needing the flexibility to still be a mom. That’s why tutoring is my perfect option! I am known for developing strong relationships with my students which allows me to work with their strengths to overcome any areas of need. I have extensive experience working with all ages in various capacities from: camp counselor, before and after school program director, before and after area coordinator, paraprofessional for individuals with developmental disabilities and teacher for students with mild/moderate academic needs and general education students. I have been licensed to teach k-6 general studies, K-12 Special Education and Secondary English. I am able to understand and interpret state academic goals and how I can help your child meet them. My experience has allowed me to learn various teaching techniques that work for different kinds of learners and I enjoy coming up with new and fun ways to engage learners. With all that being said, I would love to be considered as your tutor!
