Hello! My name is Amanda and have been tutoring for 13 years.

I'm an extremely empathetic and patient person who loves helping children learn how to regulate their "big feelings" so they can learn more efficiently, in an environment that doesn't feel like work.

I meet every person I tutor where they're at, in their world, and am there for them when they're ready to take another step forward. It gives me the warm and fuzzy feelings and feel immensely proud of them with every "lightbulb" moment they have and every step forward!

I use collaborative problem solving strategies so children gain the ability to use their new study skills independently and confidently.

    My 7 year old son was behind in math because he had difficulty focusing during timed tests. He fell behind his class and math homework was a struggle. Amanda has been able to bring out his best! No more tantrums over math practice! He is proud of his progress!

    Ive had the pleasure of working off and on again with Amanda since 2014. In that time, I have seen her develop and hone her skills to a very high level. I have seen her provide top notch child care and one on one tutoring sessions to children in all age ranges. Most of them in difficult situations or with various disabilities that would prove daunting to someone without proper training or patience. She cares very well for people on the autism spectrum, and even helps them overcome cumbersome obstacles when navigating the social scene. When working with my children, she has helped develop fine motor skills in my oldest, who was born with Cerebral Palsy. She also helped secure her with adequate social skills to navigate a traditional high school setting with ease.

    Amanda brings out the best in my kids! My older son has ADHD and balks at tasks. Amanda can work magic and get him to get it done - and to have fun while doing it. Shes so good at preventing his anxious meltdowns! My younger son is neurotypical but willful, and Amanda has helped us establish routines. She makes it so fun he forgets to be stubborn. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
