I was an elementary school teacher for 30 years. I taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, but then I taught first grade which taught me how to find the holes in students' learning. I do specialize in the primary grades. I love kids and that is why I do it.

Then, during summer days in highschool, I volunteered at a camp for kids with a variety of disabilities. After earning an English Literature degree in college, I worked as a teacher's assistant in elementary schools for 5 years. Then, once I received my Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, I spent over 20 years as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
