I like to make learning easy and fun I received a teaching credential from Chico State back in the 70's and was able to obtain a teaching position in Southern California but left after three years for multiple reasons. Always thought there was a possibility of getting back. Now that I am retired I'm thinking it would be fun to share my lifetime of wit and wisdom.

I started tutoring as a teacher, when I was in 7th grade I taught 1st and 2nd grade kids. I taught until I went to college. I enjoy teaching, engaging and interacting with kids. I am fun, patient, and ready to bring the best out of my students.

I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 16 years. As a result, I have been able to educate my children in a variety of ways, one of which was to home school for 2 years. While homeschooling, I was able to master many of the common core math techniques being taught in the classroom. I am very patient and I love coming up with innovative approaches to tutoring children that best match their learning style. Since 2016 I've worked in some local school districts as a Spanish and ELD instructor, but most recently as a substitute teacher. I am credentialed in both German and Spanish and most recently spent time in Sicily. My love of languages will be apparent working with students who may be struggling in Spanish, German and/or learning English as a second language.

I can do online tutoring on Zoom, or in person tutoring within 10 miles of Pleasanton, CA. I have over 25 years teaching and tutoring high school and college students up through AP Calculus.
