As founder and CEO, I have been leading a team of educators as we for 24 years. We write customized plans to meet the unique needs of each student. Using evidence based practices, we implement data driven plans.

Since 2016 I've worked in some local school districts as a Spanish and ELD instructor, but most recently as a substitute teacher. I am credentialed in both German and Spanish and most recently spent time in Sicily. My love of languages will be apparent working with students who may be struggling in Spanish, German and/or learning English as a second language.

Hi my name is Jenn Counihan and I am a Special Education Teacher in Fairfield CA. My undergraduate degree is in English and my graduate degree is in Special Education. I teach kindergarten to third grade students with moderate to severe learning diabilities. I have been teaching since 2015 and cant imagine doing anything else. I started tutoring to make a little extra money. I love finding ways for students to be able to connect the dots. I enjoy using specialized materials and curiculums to find a way for each student to do their best.

Having experience in the field for more than 5 years is the key to directing others... Working in companies like PayPal and Uber and seeing the effect of your work in the real life and knowing that it is used by millions of people are the parts I enjoy more than anything.

I'm friendly and easy going. I have a lot of patience when it comes to teaching and I adapt to your style learning. If I explain something and it doesn't make sense to you, I will try to explain it a different way until it's understood. I understand neurodivergencies and how we need to learn a different way than traditionally taught. I've been doing art for over 50 years and I'm a native Salvadoran, so Spanish was my first language. For art, I have done all kinds of mediums including digital. I'm in the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities so if you're ok with those, we're g2g.

I'm an incredibly patient tutor, always ready to challenge a student while meeting where they are at in terms of the instruction they have received. I also consider myself an extremely thorough tutor, ensuring that students understand concepts fully as opposed to just memorizing a pattern or rule. I'm also extremely flexible and adaptable and can work with any material you provide me with, perhaps from the student's school, or I can prepare exercises of my own.
