I am a soon to be 20 year old student at Boston University. As a screenwriting major and English minor, I have an adoration for both learning and teaching writing, particularly to lower/middle school students. From my work being chosen for BU's "Palimpsest", an online publication that highlights outstanding undergraduate writing", and my position on the Dean's list, my affinity for language is one that translates to success. As a fully credentialed teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, working at the elementary (Kinder - 5th grade) and middle school (6th - 8th grade) levels, I love helping students overcome obstacles. With a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, I teach English, math, social studies, science, and art. I enjoy getting to know kids on a personal level and seeing that "Aha!" moment when they suddenly understand a concept. I am very patient, compassionate, and understanding, and have 2 Master's degrees, one in Education and one in Counseling Psychology.
