I have been tutorig for 5 years now. It all started during my college career where I was introduced into this tutoring program held in my school for students enrolled in engineering mathematics. The math courses included PreCalculus, College Alegebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Differential Equations. I have always enjoyed helping others and was always a good feeling whenever students came back to me to thank me because they were able to understand the material and pass the course. Usually I provide worksheets for my students for them to practice on material I see they have trouble with and work with them with homework to guide what they have to do. I will do everything I can to help students understand and show them a way where they are able to hold that material to produce good results.
I have always enjoyed math, going back to middle school and liked helping others because it also helped me practice the material. The feeling of being able to help others is always a good feeling because you are able to help different people pass a course they probably didn't think was possible. There are some things that I understand and there are things that students understand so we work with one another to help them achieve the grade they want and for them to better understand material.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I would like to know what the students know so I will let them do their homework and see how they do on their own. Depending on how they do on each assignment, I then have a general idea on what their strengths and weaknesses are. From there I try to work on their weaknesses and also including their strengths to help them grow more familiar with the overall material. If I still see they are having trouble with a particular topic, I will prepare a worksheet to gain more practice on that material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started tutoring during my time in college during my sophomore year. I have helped students in Algebra, Calculus, PreCalculus, Trigonometry, and Differential Equations. Outside of school, I have also tutored students close to my home in these subjects as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
If I am working online, I would charge $20/hr. And if I have to travel to students home or nearby location I will charge $25-30/hr depending on the location. I would also like to do minimum an hour session and if would like to cancel a session typically do it 12 hrs in advance,
