About
I excelled in Math since I was a kid. I got 800 in SAT/SAT2 Math, GRE math and graduated college with a 4.0 GPA and high honor (usually awarded to at most one person per year) in Math.
I am a huge believer that anyone can excel in math if they want to. So I started helping other people when I was in college (2014). I started out tutoring college students and some high school students in the neighborhood. After I moved to the bay area, I started teaching lower level math, such as Geometry, Algebra, etc.
I believe the greatest accomplishment any person can achieve is changing another person. Every person is different, so the challenge is never old.
I've always believed in one saying, "sometimes, it takes only one good math teacher for a student to fall in love with math." I strive to be that teacher every single day.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to build a relationship first with my students (chatting about school, learning about their hobbies, etc). I don't like to be an authority because people are afraid of challenging the authority. I'd like my students to be able to stand up and argue against me. There is no authority in math, only logic.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have done exclusively 1 on 1 tutoring so far and am charging $45/hour.
However, I'm willing to tutor 2-3 students in one session if they are on the same page, where I can also lower the price per student.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students who themselves want to improve (they don't have to be good but they should want to improve). I've seen students who were pushed by parents and did not wish to be in my class. I turned down all of these offers although some parents really wanted me to continue.
I have tutored students from 9-21 years old, but now I focus exclusively on pre-college students.
