Throughout my years in school, I really enjoyed learning and teaching mathematics. I would always study my lessons enough to the point where I could comfortably teach them to someone else - this led to me taking on multiple positions as a K-12 Math Tutor. In the six years I have been tutoring math, the most enjoyable moment is seeing my students come to understand something they did not quite understand. I think the best part of the job is when I hardly need to make any corrections because that is how I know my students will do well. I see this as a win-win situation!

I have my degree in early childhood education with a minor in history and taught for five years before becoming a full time private tutor. I have been a tutor/homeschool teacher for the last 10 years, and during this time I have worked with students from pre-k- high school. I'm qualified to tutor multiple subjects, but specialize in writing/reading. I believe that every child learns differently, and I create lessons that focus on their strengths while working to strengthen their weaknesses.
