Hi there, my name is Ian and I am excited to help you achieve your goals! A recent graduate in mechanical engineering, my specialities are math and science; specifically calculus, algebra, and physics. I can also assist with any forms of elementary and middle school math. I would love to help you work on these skills over the summer so that you can go into the school year strong.

I try to share with the students an easy way of looking at maths topics, that involves minimum memorization and maximum understanding. That is the way I have been learning and using maths, and that's what I would like you to experience. Helping improve understanding and increased confidence of students is always reqarding.

I am a private tutor that caters to any level math student from elementary through college. I have been tutoring since 2012 and love encouraging my students to succeed. I love math and have a BS in Civil Engineering.

For the past 26 years, I have worked as a math and science educator in California. Currently I am employed by Huntington Beach Union High School District and Orange Coast College, last year I taught Earth Science, Chemistry, AP Computer Science and Engineering. I received my M.S. in Environmental Engineering from California State University, Fullerton in 2022 where I was awarded both Graduate Academic Honors and an Academic Distinction Award. Additionally I hold a B.S. in Hydrologic Science from the University of California, Davis 1997 where I was nominated as an outstanding senior and recieved a departmental citation. I hold teaching crede
