I am a recent graduate from a Masters in Business administration with concentration in Healthcare program. I also graduated with a Bachelors in Biological Science with a minor in Education. I have worked as a substitute teacher with students ranging from the ages of TK-8th grade. I focus on fostering a deep understanding and enthusiasm for learning, helping students achieve tangible results and build confidence in their academic abilities. Hi There! My name is Jennifer and I have worked in the classroom for over 18 years and for the past 2 years i have been training teachers on the Science of Reading and Achieve Math throughout the many districts in California. I miss having students of my own and this past year started working with students in K-10th grade when not training teachers. Summer months are much slower and I look forward to working with more students in my area and/or online.

As a current college student I am always actively helping out friends or other students with their school work. I have always enjoyed helping students with their school work whether its in math or English concepts. I will want to get to know each student and help them with their current and future goals. I will take my time with students no matter if they are more on a slow or faster pace of learning so they get a clear understanding of concepts. My goal as a new tutor is to be able to make students enjoy their work and get them involved in their work so it becomes fun for them to do.

As a current teacher, I enjoy seeing kids learn and grow! I especially love seeing them grow into fluent readers. There is a systematic way to teach reading that involves explicit, structured, and sequential reading instruction that will build a strong foundation in reading.
