Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When it comes to writing college essays, I like to spend some time getting to know my student. I will ask about their most memorable experiences and funniest moments. Small talk goes a long way to uncovering the things that make them who they are, which will allow them to represent that in their college essays.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a student at UCLA and therefore am qualified to review and make suggestions on college essays using my own as a reference.
For students that need help in history and government-related subjects, I have taken AP US Gov, AP US History, and AP World History, having passed all with at least a 4 or a 5. Additionally, I am majoring in Political Science, so besides the experience, I also have a passion for social studies, which goes a long way when tutoring students.
