About
ED Academics is an educational therapy practice based in Glendale, CA, providing individualized instruction and support for middle school, high school, and college students. The team develops tailored educational plans that address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs, with structured goal setting and opportunities for self-reflection. Services include formal tutoring, test preparation, and home schooling support; executive functioning skills coaching; and individualized instruction for students with learning differences. ED Academics offers customized strategies for learners on the autism spectrum and students managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, and cognitive challenges.
Additional services include mentorship and life coaching, psychosocial growth, student voice and leadership development, and collaboration with families and allied professionals. The practice also supports students participating in the Self-Determination Program through the Regional Center. Instruction emphasizes metacognition, executive function, and motivation, with strengths in science and mathematics through pre-calculus. ED Academics’ philosophy centers on the 3 C’s: Cognizance, Confidence, and Community.
The organization is led by President and Chief Psychologist Elin Der-Hacopian and Educational Therapist and Director of Education Marc Missirlian, bringing more than a decade of experience working with diverse learning profiles, including education planning for post-high school and college pathways and regular family communication with measurable milestones.
