Hi! My name is Mrs. Mac. I've been a teacher in Cupertino for 10 years, teaching all subjects from 3rd - 5th grade. I currently have three littles of my own aging from one to six years old. I love encouraging and pushing students to reach their full potential. I understand how quickly the school day goes by and how little one-on-one time students actually get. My favorite subject to teach is Math, even though it was my least favorite as a student. Playing math games and puzzles around common core strategies was really a game changer for me. I am a dental student at California Northstate University with a strong academic background in science and education. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley with a high GPA, and I have been teaching students since I was 18 years old. My teaching journey began as a high school chemistry instructor and has expanded to subjects including Biology, Calculus, Algebra, and Physics. I am passionate about helping students truly understand concepts instead of simply memorizing them. I’m Computer Science graduate with over 20+ years of professional experience in the Information Technology field. Math skills are critical and I have solid experience in tutoring math from all grades K-12 . I have students whom I’m giving private tutoring currently and also taught in 2nd, 4th and 5th grade students and have taught 7th -10th graders over the summer.
