When students book with me, we work on tailoring our tutoring sessions to specify their learning needs. I do weekly check ins on how the student is doing in their particular class.

I provide one on one teaching that is specific to each student. I am dedicated to making sure student goals are met. In addition, I charge a low price. I'm open to all questions and am very approachable. I enjoy helping others reach their goals.

I'm an Elementary teacher in the Hacienda La Puente USD. I have 20 years experience. I've also taught 7th grade Algebra enrichment during the summer the past two years. Lastly, two years ago I completed a three year math and science training consisting of over 200 hours partnered with Cal Poly Pomona. Hughes is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he double-majored in English and Comparative Literature. He has been tutoring for 6 years and with The Tutor Boost for the last 2, tutoring ACT/SAT, all Common Core subjects, as well as Spanish. He spends his free time hiking/backpacking, writing, cooking through entire cookbooks, seeing live music & comedy, and watching basketball.
