My passion is working with developing students who could benefit from 1:1 support to build a solid foundation in reading, writing, and/or math. This generally leads to a boost in confidence and renewed enthusiasm for learning. Culminating with a master's degree in Literacy and Reading Instruction, my background in education, psychology, counseling, and biology has afforded me a well-rounded approach to teaching. I have over 10 years of experience providing academic support in schools and as a tutor. Additionally, I have received training in the Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading System approaches to reading instruction and intervention.

I have built a stellar reputation on successful results with students and clients, which has lead to a chain of referrals. I conduct face to face tutoring and business with students and clients because personal communication is so important for the success for all. I love seeing students "get it." What we have been working on starts coming together and it manifests in better grades, more self confidence, that knowing look of "I can do this."

Currently, I work onsite as a Literacy Specialist for Reading, Writing, Language Arts for grades TK-Grade 12. Previously I worked as a TK-5th grade elementary teacher in the classroom for all subjects Math, Reading, Writing, etc. During the weekdays and weekends, I also tutor for all elementary grade levels in all subjects. I am able to tutor in-person & online for Elementary, Middle, and High School students, surrounding the Los Angeles county areas and remotely across the nation. I specialize in-person and online in: (1) all common core subjects for all elementary grades TK-5th grade, (2) Educational Therapy specifically Orton-Gillingha

I am currently a 1st grade Educational Specialist that has taught general education and special education for elementary and middle school students. I was a behavior therapist for 20 years. My method to teaching is to use students' strengths to help them with their challenges. I enjoy adding games and music into my teaching process to maintain engagement.
