Luke D. says, "Dr. Kern not only helped with questions on homework and preparing for exams in which he helpfully guided me towards how to understand the assignment in order to shape my response correctly, but he also helped with exploring the subject that I was learning so that I would have a deeper and broader understanding of the subject, particularly in history. Dr. Kern's review of my work was highly beneficial, both grammatically and conceptually. He was able to guide me on where my mistakes were in which I could correct them, accordingly, on my own. As for my qualifications, I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering in university and have been enrolled in several higher-level math courses in college, along with having been on multiple academic teams throughout high school and college. I have also worked at several math and physics tutoring centers, where my focus was to help students achieve their full potential in order to maximize their problem solving abilities. Hello! My name is Jessica Romero and I am able to understand and respect people from all cultures and ways of life. I believe that doing so is how we can all create true peace and justice. I will do an excellent job because I understand that all people are intelligent, even if the doctors and teachers call them otherwise. I will respect you or your child even if the entire planet disrespects them, because I believe that respecting others is integral to peace and existence. Please, let me know how you best learn and I can tailor my academic approach.

I want to be able to inspire students and help them find their passions through schooling. Schoolwork can often be viewed as daunting, and I want to help students find the fun in learning. I received my BA from ASU - Anthropology and Art History. I have extensive knowledge in history, prehistory, ancient civilizations, cultural anthropology, and art. I'm very understanding with the different learning types. I can change how I help by what is most effective to the student - visual, hands on, and auditory. I enjoy helping make sense the complexities of the world, both past and present.

Alex H.
i started working with him cause a family member recommended him and he’s doing a fall discount (otherwise i def couldn’t afford it). we’ve only had one session so far but he’s really smart. kind of intense but in a good way. he made me a study plan that looks a little scary ngl but also makes me feel like i actually have a direction now. he gives off private tutor vibes, like the kind that usually works with rich families or college kids, but he’s super chill and not snobby at all, which i didn’t expect but really like.
