ACT Tutoring

About

Nothing is better than that "ah-ha" moment that a child gets when figuring out a particularly challenging concept or problem. That is the moment I live for, and it is something I strive to give all of my students whether they're in my classroom or being tutored.

Frequently asked questions

One of the most important things when working with a new student is establishing a relationship. If I take time to learn about the student's interests, I will be able to relate the material being learned to something that they know and understand. This will make the teaching process easier for me and the learning process less stressful and more rewarding for the student.

I am a biology and physical science teacher in central phoenix, and I have been certified by ACT to tutor for the test.

One-on-one session will start out at $50 per hour, and ACT tutoring will start off at $65 per hour.

Helping people is my passion, and I always wanted to be a teacher. The moment that a student finally understands a challenging concept is a moment that never gets old and one that I live for.

I have worked with students from all walks of life. This includes: students with IEPs and 504 plans, highly gifted students, students with tough home lives, and students who are unmotivated to learn for a variety of reasons.

I would say to hire someone that you are comfortable with and that will conform their teaching to your style of learning.

Students should make sure that they are ready to put in the work to be tutored. Tutors can provide tremendous insight, but if a student is not willing to practice or take the work seriously, it will be tough to make meaningful progress.
