Hello! My name is Samantha Cohen and I am currently a 2nd grade teacher. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, and I have loved teaching children how to meet their goals in education. I have a love to help children understand material and skills, to help reach their full potential in education and in life! I have also worked with children who have special needs and learning difficulties. I have used different resources to help students who have dyslexia, etc to remain more focused while also creating a healthy environment for learning.

My daily job is a Senior Direct Care (Habilitation) Provider for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. Outside of my job, I tutor children from preschool to young adults in college; 3-10 hours per week and have been doing so for over 24 years. I have a BA in Human Services, an MA in Special Education and a certificate in Positive Behavior Support. Both degrees and the certificate programs taught me things which are helpful in my everyday job and in tutoring.

I am a graduate from the University of Central Florida, College of Engineering and Computer Science, Industrial Engineering program with a minor in Mathematics. I have taught students from elementary to college level over the past few years. I am enthusiastic and encouraging with all students I work with!
