I am a father with kids in school and I also work in education as a mentor and coach for at-risk youth. A large part of my job is tutoring and helping kids go understand basic math, reading, writing, comprehension, science, and social studies. I often assist my own children with their schoolwork at home. Tutoring is all about patience and understanding and I excel at this. I connect with my students to know where they’re at and work hard to build them up! Learning is an individual journey and it’s all about helping you find the right path.

I am currently a 3rd grade teacher. I have been teaching for 12 years and have worked with grades kindergarten through 6th grade in 3 different states. I work using a hands-on approach where a student is involved in the teaching and application process. I like to have lots of communication while teaching to know when a student understands or not that was I can help in the best way possible.

I have an associate degree in paralegal studies, a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and am working on my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling. I’m a honors student and am proficient in reading and writing. Have been a homeschool mom and ran a one room classroom teaching k- 11th grade.
