In addition to the subject matter being studied, I examine students' learning styles and attempt to match my teaching to individuals' modes of learning. I also work to strengthen the ways in which students study, so that time spent on assignments becomes more productive. I enjoy building and maintaining relationships with young people.

I am a licensed teacher in Virginia. I currently teach 4th Grade Math and tutor Algebra I and Kindergarten Reading. I am a very experienced, young teacher with a huge passion for children and teaching. I would love to work with any child PreK-9th grade. I have only recently started tutoring, but am in my second year of teaching, with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Longwood University.

I am a second-year graduate student at James Madison University. I will be receiving a Master's in Occupational Therapy by the end of next year. I am currently working as a tutor with a company named Eye Level and wish to get involved with other tutoring opportunities in the Harrisonburg area.
