As a former college student with 6+ years of tutoring experience, all material is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. I have worked with a variety of ages, from freshmen in high school to college students. I get to know each student individually as well as get to know their personal goals. I will provide quick, concise responses for those in a hurry, and slow, methodic teaching for those looking to understand the material on a deeper level. I am a Senior in High School, who is very comfortable with tutoring, but allows the student to do most of the work. By providing lessons and using a commonality with the student, it helps to create a bridge between the student's interests and familiarities with a learning concept. I am very patient and willing to provide any help that the student needs. I understand that these are unprecedented times in education, and parents just do not have the time to work and teach their kids. I love seeing students grasp on to a concept that they have been struggling with. The feeling of finally understanding something is so satisfying and fulfilling.

Hi! I’m Sydney Lilo; I graduated with a degree in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley. I played collegiate volleyball and tutored at Cal’s study center for two and a half years. I’m currently working as a Medical Assistant and hope to become a Physician Assistant in the coming years! I enjoy science, reading, and anything that has to do with learning!
