I am a middle and high school English teacher with 20+ years of teaching and tutoring experience, and enjoy reading good books and helping them come alive for young readers. I also enjoy teaching writing. I get to know each student individually as well as get to know their personal goals. I will provide quick, concise responses for those in a hurry, and slow, methodic teaching for those looking to understand the material on a deeper level. I welcome parent feedback and will alter my methods based on parental goals as well.

I have taught and tutored many subjects at all levels of education from grade school through doctoral level studies. This has included all levels of math, SAT and ACT test prep, English, literature , Latin, Greek, philosophy, and theology. I always individual my tutoring to draw upon what a student already knows and target where they are struggling. And I make the goal not just understanding a subject, but coming to enjoy and appreciate the subject through that understanding.
