When I tutor, I try to give curriculum materials that support the child's needs, but also help them to advance in school by aligning to the school's challenging material or supporting the level of struggle that some grade levels carry in Common Core subjects. I am a long term tutor 3 months to longer. I work to help students see growth in all their hard work practiced & expressed over time. I have been working as an independent tutor for over 18 years. I have a PhD in Civil Engineering and wide experience in teaching and tutoring. Tutoring is a way of teaching and a fulfilling reward for me. I enjoy seen people understanding something that was a struggle before and feeling proud of themselves.
