About
I'm an English savvy college student, who has a love for helping children find their passion for reading and writing. I have oversaw my little brothers home-schooling curriculum regarding language arts so I am knowledgable about overall literature markers for each grade level. On top of that I am also a part-time librarian, so I truly want to find genres, mediums that will inspire your students to find their own love for langauge arts.
I love helping student's find their own passion for reading/writing as well as improving their overall skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe what will set me apart from other tutors is my passion for helping children find their own voice/space in the literature world. I tailor each process for each student because no two people learn the same.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
3+ years of collegiate English education, currently in the process of transferring to finish up my 2 remaining semesters. I have worked voluntarily in the writing center at my University, as well as a mandatory semester for a tutoring class. I also work as a part-time librarian at the public library!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
This can be discussed, I am flexible since not each persons session/sessions will be the same.
How did you get started teaching?
I have alwasy been the go-to editor for all my friends, their college apps, research papers, you name it I looked over it. Well when my brtoher started home-schooling due to having to undergo open heart surgery. I eagerly helped my mom with his lesson plans, a long with teach/tutor him in language arts fields. This inspired me to start do it for his friends along with anyone else I came across needing English tutoring. So I finally feel confient enough with my experience and skills to branch out and help more students learn to love to read and write.
What types of students have you worked with?
Homeschoolers
K-8th grade perdominately
Various college students
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event or maybe I should say project that I am extremely fond of is my new formed blog. As a English major I have always read anything I can get my hands on and when blogs started becoming big, they quickly garnered my interest. Ever since I have suscribed and followed so many blogs, on instagram, twitter, you name it & so I finally created my own. It has been such a wonderful experience and fueled my love for writing even more!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice is if you are having trouble with language arts, don't freak out! English is hard, and it's impossible to learn it in its entirety, but finding "your own" way to comprhend it makes it easier. I hated English class until I got to high school, and found a teacher that changed how I used to be taught, so don't give up!
