Carissa Dowden

I am a recent masters graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, School of Global Integrative Studies with a major in geography. My undergraduate degree in public history and geography included work in K-12, social studies education, and experience working with a variety of learners. In addition to making dean's list, staying in the honors program, and keeping a 4.0 GPA, I assisted my professors in teaching their labs and classes, fielding all student questions, hosting office hours, as well as problem solving teaching and tutoring methods for difficult concepts. My goal as a tutor is to teach students the tools to actualize their goals as a learner and citizen of the world, in addition to instilling a life long love of learning.
