McKenna English Tutoring
Ever since middle school I always loved my English and Literature classes. In high school I was in an advanced English track, was a writing tutor, took extra courses in British literature, and even helped tutor in Spanish at the time. I graduated with an honors diploma and decided to follow my love of writing by attending Drake University in Des Moines, IA. It is here that I was accepted into the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and studied Public Relations and Graphic Design. After graduating, I returned home to Wauwatosa, WI and received my Certificate in Public Relations and am working towards my Accreditation in Public Relations. I now work at a private country club helping manage our marketing and communications.
Whether it is proofing papers and essays or helping explain different literary devices, or proofing AP style in an article, I love it all! (My mom, to this day, will send me all her letters and grant applications proof!) I look forward to working with you!
I love being able to control the narrative. With my work, we make an effort to think about how our audience will perceive the message and what tone are we creating. Being able to create "buy in" to what I have to say is something I excel at and love to do. I also love to proof and edit people's work! From my mom, to friends, and work peers, I help a variety of people write a myriad of different styles such as grant writing, poetry, college essays, and more.
