My name is Sarah Schmitz, and I have been teaching for 3.5 years. I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education. I’ve worked with students from 4k-8th during the school years and summers. I currently work at a middle school for reading intervention to help serve students who are below grade level. I have a background experience working with general education students and students with IEPs and 504 plans.

I grew up with a passion for reading books from my Mother. I grew up reading books by Dr. Seuss! I help students realize the value of being able to read, especially in the world we live in today. Reading is not a skill you will master overnite. However, if you commit to doing the work daily, you will see the results! Will you get frustrated at times? Yes! Will you feel like giving up? Yes, that is just part of the learning process. However, I tell all of my students: NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
