About
I am in my fourth year of teaching second grade in the Oshkosh Area School District. I absolutely love being in the classroom, getting to know the students on a personal level, and making learning fun and applicable to all of my students. As a tutor, I am able to use all of my knowledge and experience, but I can really hone in on your child's skills and needs in a one-on-one setting.
I am a certified Early Childhood Educator, which means I specialize in building and growing strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math with students from PreK to 3rd grade. I am also certified to teach students who have English as a second or other language, which means I am experienced with a wider variety of teaching strategies which work well for all students, regular and special ed, who just need a little something extra!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When getting to know a new student, I like to work beside them and talk to get to know them as a learner. If you have goals for us to work on I would start there; if not, I would first work to assess your child's skills to see what they can already do, and where we can continue to grow.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified Early Childhood Educator, specializing in building strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math for students from PreK to 3rd grade.
I am also a certified English as a Second Language teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from 4 year old Pre-K to 3rd graders. I work in an inclusive classroom where ESL students and special education students are welcomed.
