What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First to build a relationship with the student and get to know them is very important. Then, for me it is important that my students understand why I do particular things with them in Reading or Math and that it is to help them improve their abilities. They are rewarded for their progress and attitude toward learning. There is communication with families at each session and if needed communication with another teacher if they are enrolled in school at the time.
