As a currently dual licensed special education and general education teacher, I have lots of experience with multi modal learning and instructing the same content in a variety of ways. I am in my 5th year as a special education in a middle school where I support students with 6-8th grade science, math, social studies, reading and writing. Prior to this, I worked as a 6th general education math and science teacher and prior to that tutores middle school children and adults as certified ELL teacher. My special education background gives me 5 years of experience teaching specific skills like how to study, manage emotions, and basic reading and math skills. I have been tutoring others since 2011, assisted with preparing two clients for the citizenship test (they passed) and am very focused on the learning process. My focus is to help students achieve their goals, enjoy the learning process, and become independent and confident in their abilities to learn.
