What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with PreK-12th grade students in a variety of roles: classroom teacher, tutor or as an instructional coach. I have worked with students with different types of learning challenges, special education students, English as a second language students, students who are significantly behind, students who are really close to grade level, and students who are above grade level. As you can see I have a very unique, wide and diverse experiences.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking to hire a teacher, look for or ask about the following:
1) How much experience do they have in the area you need support in?
2) Are they upbeat, enthusiastic, passionate, excited about kids and teaching?
3) Do they LOVE what they do?
4) How will they teach you or how will the lesson be structured?
