Simply Math Tutoring
About
I am currently enrolled in both my high school and local university, and have math experience ranging from the basics to Calculus. Given that I am a student, I relate to many of the issues/concerns faced by my clients (I also tutor students at my high school). This allows me to have an in depth understanding of what a client is struggling with and develop an appropriate plan accordingly.
I've always had a passion for math throughout my middle and high school career, and I plan to pursue the subject in college as well. I also love to help others - it is so rewarding! This all began when I started helping my younger sister with her math homework, and has since progresses to tutoring middle school and high school students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start out by letting students explain what they are having troubles with, and then ask questions to gain a general sense of the situation. I also encourage the student to provide examples from homework/lessons of concepts of topics that they may not understand. Additionally, I think it is important to spend time introducing myself to the student. A more comfortable client often correlates to a more successful one.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken (and passed with an A) classes ranging from basic mathematics to Calculus. I also tutor/offer help to students before and after school with any subject that they are struggling with.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge $12/hr, but am open to changes and suggestions depending on the situation.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've primarily worked with students that attend my high school (ages 14-18), and informally with some middle school students.
