Mrs. Cords Science And Literacy
About
I am a DPI certified teacher who teaches Science and Literacy during regular school days. I am interested in helping anyone in need of tutoring because COVID-19 has taken a toll on our student's education this year!
I love to see the pride a child begins to take in their work when they start to see and feel their academic improvement. I also love that smile and sigh of relief when they can finally say, "Now I get it!"

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my students once told me that my encouraging words and belief in them, helped them to succeed and overcome a very challenging day in class. They said, if it weren't for me, they wouldn't have been able to do it.
*I think of that moment often when a student is discouraged!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who has good written communication skills and writes in a way that appeals to you. Written communication is similar to face to face (or online) conversation so if you like the way they write, you will like the way they speak. If you like the way they speak, you will like the way they teach!
