Jeff was my tenor sax instructor. He was also the bandleader of Hot Rod Deluxe a horn band that covered a wide variety of material from Motown to the Beatles. Jeff provided the band with all their charts. I have also had the opportunity to work with Jeff in the studio where he was the musical director and keyboard player. He is also the author of a number of excellent music books that are standard at campuses like Oberlin.
