What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process when working with new students is to first hear from them the student what areas they personally feel that they need to improve upon and their goals for the course.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent three years in college tutoring freshman college students in biology and chemistry. I also spent a year creating labs in a high school forensic science class.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I currently charge $17.00 an hour for college level course work and $15.00 an hour for high school level course work.
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring in the sciences during my sophmore year of college.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked primarily with high school juniors and seniors as well as college freshman and sophmores.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise a student to seek out a tutor who is a subject matter expert in the area they are seeking help in.
