About

Hello,

I am a psychotherapist and lover of learning who can help you or your child overcome the barriers to success. Whether the difficulties at hand are strictly academic or related to confidence, anxiety, concentration, or any myriad of other issues, I help my students orient, relax, and have fun on your way to a new experience of learning. I attune to many different learning styles and will meet you where you are, walk with you through the rough patches, and help you get to your goals.

I have a background in teaching language, basic reading skills, and tutoring all ages, as well as in psychotherapy with adolescents. More than anything else, I love helping others build new experiences of their abilities, especially in challenges that initially feel overwhelming. I specialize in consulting with families about any barriers children might face in academics due to emotional, social and mental health concerns.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Molly

As a book lover myself, I most enjoy helping others overcome barriers of all kinds to enjoying the written word. I firmly believe that education opens critically important opportunities and that everyone deserves a sense of ease, confidence, and enjoyment in reading. Where emotional, social, or cognitive factors arise as barriers, I thrive on integrating my background in psychology to support students in gaining the tools and resources that they need.

Frequently asked questions

I like to begin working with new students by offering an initial consultation of about 30 minutes. For younger students, this will begin in conversation and questions with the student's caregiver in order to establish an understanding of the family's goals and any relevant concerns. Following this, I offer a short time directly with the student to build rapport and begin understanding the child's own perspective and experience. For adult students, the initial consultation of course focuses exclusively on their own goals, concerns, history, and preferences.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Philosophy from Gutenberg College and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology.
