Emily Nordberg

I'm a passionate English teacher in Seattle with a bachelor's degree in English and, more recently, my master's degree in Teaching, both from Western Washington University. I have experience working with 7th-12th graders on their reading and essay writing. My specialty is nonfiction writing and I particularly love to help students with personal statements for applications for college and scholarships. I have a passion for helping students find their voice through their writing and helping them to understand what they can bring to a strong application. I have experience with general degree applications as well as specialty program applications, like nursing school. I also help with SAT/ACT prep. I am available in person or over zoom and look forward to meeting you!
