Hi! I am Derek Lester, Ph.D. I started Brainstrong tutoring in Seattle and am now expanding into Los Angeles. I have a PhD in Higher Education and was a professor of Higher Education for six years before starting my own tutoring agency.
At Brainstrong, we apply our expert knowledge of human learning and instructional strategies to prepare students for learning success.
We specialize working with elementary (K-5) students. Our expertise is in literacy acquisition for PreK-3 students, and math for ages k-5.
Families that I have worked with had outstanding learning results, among a diverse group of students, from different learning abilities.
Dr. Lester’s rate is $150 per 50-minute session. And he typically meet families at their home after school.
